Accessibility

Updated September 26, 2026. This page describes ways to use Hardwood Railing and the limits of our current checks. It is not a claim of complete accessibility conformance.

Read the opening study without the drawing

The opening study reports the baluster count, number of openings and calculated equal gap as text. The diagram is not needed to read those results. Above 100 balusters, it shows only a five-baluster detail; the numerical total still covers the full opening. Inches and millimeters describe the same entered measurements. Your gap target is a planning input, not an approved code limit.

Keyboard navigation

The first “Skip to content” link passes the header navigation. Tab moves between fields, links and buttons. Use the arrow keys to move between the Inches and Millimeters tabs; Enter or Space activates buttons. In the guides, the numbered coordination-focus buttons change the explanation below them. Their selected state is also identified programmatically.

Keep the written coordination record

The project record and guide worksheets use labeled text fields. Record the source document and unresolved question in words; a drawing or photograph alone cannot establish attachment approval. “Export worksheet” downloads a JSON text file containing the field labels and entered notes. “Print” opens your browser’s print controls. These worksheets are temporary: export before leaving or reloading. The website does not currently reopen saved worksheet files.

Enlarged text and visual alternatives

Use browser zoom to enlarge text. Results and guide explanations remain available as text, and selected controls use more than color to identify their state. Concept images do not supply dimensions or evidence of a safe railing assembly. Reduced-motion styles are included, but testing across all assistive technologies, browser zoom levels and device settings is incomplete.

Tell us about a barrier

Email help@ipewoods.com or call (844) 752-2709. Include the page address, the task you were trying to complete and the control or text that caused difficulty. Browser, device and assistive-technology details are helpful if you wish to share them. Please omit passwords and confidential project documents. Tell us if a plain-text explanation or another format would help; we do not promise an audited certification or a fixed response time.
